We are happy to outline the steps our professional contractors take during the roofing process.

Our roofing representative must identify the damage done, and if we must repair or replace your roof.

Once the damage is evaluated, we can select the new roofing color and style, complete paperwork and schedule the install date.

PREPERATION AND PROTECTION

We will deliver roofing materials to your home. The project manager and crew will take care to protect the home and its surrounding grass and flower beds with tarps and covers. Make sure that all family vehicles are out of the way, and not parked in the driveway.

Designated debris drop-zones are established around the house to collect the torn-down old roof materials, and a mobile dumpster is also delivered onsite.

The crew are safety aware and kitted with harnesses and ropes as they remove old shingles, old felt underlayment and any rotting decking.

THE ROOFING PRODUCTS         

Your old roof will be torn off and any debris will be cleaned out of your gutter troughs. Flashing is removed.

The roofing products we use are GAF timberline lifetime HD Z Shingles, with Layer Lock Technology and the Stain Guard Plus Algae Protection Limited Warranty.

THE ROOFING PROCESS

The reinforced nailing zone means these shingles hold tight to your home. We re-nail the roof deck and we tape all seams to ensure a watertight fit.

Valleys and Eaves must be waterproofed with an ice and water membrane. Double check there are NO seams in the roof valleys, which is a common area for leaks.

We use a staggered shingle install to prevent flapping or tearing off during high winds.

We also weave the shingles or overlap them up the valley which assist with creating a leak free roof.

The synthetic underlayment is installed over the entire roof area. For added protection we install 4-Inch metal rake and drip edges along eaves and slopes.

Then all roof pipe penetrations must be replaced with boots, as well as the chimney and siding flashing.

Our unique hip, ridge vent and ridge caps provide for perfect roof venting.

THE CLEAN UP PROCESS

We are so serious about clean-up that we offer our customers a Dollar Per Nail guarantee - we will pay you $1 per nail found on site.
